26th Ghana International Trade Fair starts April 14-18

The Ghana Trade Fair Company Limited has launched the 26th edition of the Ghana International Trade Fair from April 14-18, 2022 at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel.

The fair is organized by the Ghana Trade Fair Co. Ltd under the auspices of the Ministry of Trade and Industry as part of the company’s core mandate of being a bridge between research institutions and industries, as well as foreign and local consumers for advancement in product marketing and exportables.

The show, themed: “Building a Sustainable Entrepreneurial Nation: Helping SMEs Rebound”, is designed to provide a one-stop platform for manufacturers, suppliers, buyers and users of a wide range of goods and services, as well as investment promotion opportunities. .

Dr. Agnes Adu, Managing Director of Ghana Trade Fair Company, in her remarks indicated that the global pandemic has dealt a devastating blow to the economy, especially small and medium-sized businesses in Ghana, hence the 26th Ghana International Trade Fair. Ghana would allow the GTFC to present a unique and enviable opportunity to showcase domestic products and services available to participating foreign and local exhibitors and visitors.

“Through this, the GTFC facilitates the establishment of export business linkages between Ghanaian and foreign exhibitors/visitors, trade representatives and embassy staff, etc. who visit the exhibition grounds.”

“Essentially, therefore, the 26th Ghana International Trade Fair aims to provide a professionally organized and equipped forum for establishing direct and measurable contacts and opportunities in Ghana. The show also aims to provide a platform to showcase various products and services from around the world to key decision makers and potential buyers on an individual basis,” she added.

She pointed out that the Fair would provide Ghanaian manufacturers/companies with the opportunity to assess, evaluate and appreciate the quality of products; strengthen the standards demanded by foreign markets and thus encourage exporters to improve the quality and standards of their products and services so that they can be competitive in foreign markets.

“This platform offers huge opportunities for Ghanaian companies to strike deals to supply intermediate inputs and raw materials to overseas manufacturers.”

The company’s exhibitor profile includes participants from Morocco, Japan, South Africa, Nigeria, Turkey, India, Pakistan, Syria, Guinea, Senegal and Benin. This means that the fair would have more than the usual presentation of goods and services.

Dr. Agnes Adu further noted the fact that international fairs have helped immensely in the growth and expansion of SMEs in the country, her holding will do its utmost and provide more platforms for them.
