The International Livestock and Poultry Exhibition “AGROS” opens today at Crocus Expo IEC in Moscow, Russia. With the active participation of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the international exhibition for animal husbandry, animal husbandry and feed production is also supported by important industry associations of the professional sector of breeding.

AGROS, which is organized by the subsidiary of the DLG (German Agricultural Society) in Russia “DLG RUS”, is recognized as a key event in the Russian livestock sector, which is reflected in the presence of high-level speakers level: Alexei Mayorov, chairman of the Federation Council committee on agricultural and food policy and environmental management; Andrey Razin, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation; Sergey Lisovsky, Deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation; and members of the Committee on Agrarian Questions and heads of industrial associations.

AGROS is a must-attend industry event for animal and forage production professionals in Russia and neighboring countries. The thematic areas of the AGROS exhibition cover all breeding segments of professional livestock farming: Dairy and beef cattle, pig, poultry, goat and sheep production at all stages of the value chain.

At AGROS 2022, 352 exhibiting companies – up 25% from 2021 – from 26 countries will showcase modern equipment and machinery for livestock breeding and feeding, fodder production and fodder supply, as well as genetics, animal feed and feed additives, veterinary and hygiene products.

This year, for the first time, AGROS will take place in two exhibition halls, one of which will host the “Feed Solutions and Veterinary Products” exhibitions. More than 60 companies will participate in these expanded exhibition spaces, which significantly expand AGROS’ offer for poultry and pig production professionals.

Alongside the exhibition, an extensive and varied business program awaits trade visitors and industry leaders. Over 300 expert speakers will discuss the industry’s most pressing issues.

Traditionally, a significant part of AGROS’ business agenda has been devoted to dairy farming. In this year’s edition, the exhibition offers additional business content for poultry and pig production professionals, which will be supported by leading Russian and international experts. Veterinary medicine and nutrition will complete this expanded program.

On January 25, the first day of the exhibition, the Department of Veterinary Medicine of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia will organize three parallel events including “Antibiotic resistance is a growing problem in animal husbandry”.

The Federal Farmers’ Forum (FFF) celebrates its premiere at the AGROS fair this year. On January 27, 11 events for representatives of small agricultural enterprises will take place and, for the first time, AGROS will host the “All-Russian Congress of Agricultural Cooperatives”.

The “Best at AGROS” awards recognize innovative solutions in the field of animal and fodder production. The announcement of the winning entries, 28 in number this year, in the categories “Best Product”, “Best Scientific Development” and “Best Food Solution” will again take place during the official opening ceremony of the exposure.
