WTC Mumbai to host Connect India International Trade Show for 3 months

Bombay, June 23 (KNN) Mr. Visvesvarya Industrial Research and Development Center (MVIRDC) World Trade Center (WTC) Mumbai is organizing the Connect India International Trade Show which will go live from August 1 to November 1.

Indian micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) will have access to a $3.7 trillion market during this three-month digital fair.

Speaking at a webinar held to launch the show, Vijay Kalantri, Chairman of MVIRDC WTC Mumbai said, “Indian MSMEs will access the $3.7 trillion market in eight priority sectors across 10 participating countries, including Germany, China, USA, Vietnam, Philippines, Canada, South Africa and Qatar in this online fair. »

These 10 countries together represent 27% of the world’s population, more than a quarter of the global consumer market, Kalantri said.

The eight key sectors that will be the focus of the show include Engineering, Pharmaceuticals and Healthcare, Renewable Energy, Agribusiness, Automotive Components, Textiles and Home Decor, Telecommunications , technology and ICT, which cumulatively contribute 50% of India’s total. merchandise exports in 2020.

Connect India is an initiative to help at least 500 Indian businesses leverage the global network of 320 WTCs representing over one million businesses across the globe.

The digital platform will also promote technology exchange, joint ventures, investments and other forms of collaboration with participating countries.

In his remarks, Mr. Scott Wang, Vice President – Asia Pacific, World Trade Centers Association (WTCA), New York, said: “Connect India 2022 is a collaborative initiative between WTC Mumbai and the Access Program to the WTCA market”.

Thanking WTC Mumbai for hosting its Market Access Program by launching Connect India 2022, he said that the WTCA Market Access Program will organize matchmaking events, one-on-one meetings, seminars, pavilions and stands dedicated to exhibitors to promote the products and services of participating companies.

The event was also delivered by Linh Huynh, Executive Director of World Trade Center Binh Duong New City and Xiaolan Zhu, General Manager of World Trade Center Haikou. (KNN Office)
